Potter Spotlight: Meredith Host

January 16, 2020 by Steven Cheek

“Meredith’s work feels simultaneously contemporary and retro, using clean line forms that emphasize their utility. Seen alone or in groupings Her work is striking in its bold use of pattern and layers, providing multiple places for your eye to investigate. Her use of unembellished forms provides a wonderful canvas on which she is able to explore and play with the interrelationship of pattern and line, shape and color.  Meredith has taken the concept of “more is more” and found the right amount of exuberant adornmentation.”

“Her work is an invitation to appreciate beauty in embellishment, yet it maintains a firm foothold in traditional vessel making. Each piece is a marriage of elegance and utility. ”

Potter Spotlight: Lindsay Rogers

January 08, 2019 by Steven Cheek

“Viewed as individual pieces, the work stands alone as an abstracted canvas reminiscent of a Motherwell painting. Yet when viewed together as you might see at a dinner party the patterns blend and shift creating new visual narratives, new abstractions encouraging the viewer to slow down and enjoy. ”
